Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Storywriting at storywritingapp.com (“Storywriting”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to use Storywriting. Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Your writing belongs to you
Everything you write in Storywriting stays yours. We only store and process it to run the app for you (saving it, showing it back to you, and the features you choose to use, such as Google Docs sync or the AI tools). We do not claim any rights over it and we do not use it to train AI models.
Storywriting Pro
The AI tools (auto-correct, Fix grammar and translation) need a paid Storywriting Pro plan, at the prices shown on the Pricing page.
- Free trial: a plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Renewal: plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel anytime from Settings → Storywriting Pro. Your Pro access then continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, the AI tools keep working for 3 days while you update your card. After that they stop until payment succeeds.

- Price changes: if prices change, we will tell you before your next renewal.
- Fair use: Pro is for one person's own writing. We may pause the AI tools for the rest of the month if an account's use is far beyond normal writing, for example automated or shared use.
Payments are handled by Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
AI features
The AI tools send the text you ask them to work on to an AI provider (Google Gemini) to produce a correction or translation. AI output can be wrong; always read it before relying on it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Storywriting to break the law, to attack or overload the service, or to try to access other people's accounts or data.
Availability
We work to keep Storywriting running and your writing safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We recommend keeping your own copies of important work (for example with the export or Google Docs sync features).
Ending your account
You can stop using Storywriting at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Storywriting is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
